  5. Safety practices and accident prevention: flight instructor must set a good example by carefully observing all regulations and safety practice
  6. Proper language: avoid profanity. Assure understanding of new phrases and terms
  7. Self-improvement: flight instructors should constantly look for ways to improve their qualifications, effectiveness and the service they provide
  8. Minimizing student frustrations: develop techniques to encourage rather than discourage learning

Minimizing student frustrations (BAGMACK)

A

B- BE CONSISTENT: don’t change your thoughts and confuse the student
A- ADMIT ERROS: be honest with student don’t try to hide anything
G- GIVE CREDIT WHEN DUE: break things down for student and give appropriate credit
M- MOTIVATE STUDENTS: give praise and or positive remarks
A- APPROACH AS INDIVIDUALS: don’t assume they know things just because another student did
C- CRITICIZE CONSTRUCTIVELY: give feed back and how to correct things. Be specific
K- KEEP STUDENT INFORMED: inform student of there progress. Let them know what’s ahead
