R- RESEARCH: gather necessary data through research
O- ORGANIZE OUTLINE: organize data in an outline

- Professionalism is achieved only after extended training and research
- Professionalism exists only when a service is performed
- Professionals must be able to reason logically and accurately
- Professionals don’t limit actions and decisions to standard patterns and practice
- True performance as a professional is based on study and research
- Professionalism demands a code of ethics
Professionalism (Public image)
- Sincerity: be straight forward and honest
- Acceptance of the student: treat student with respect and accept who they are
- Personal appearance and habits: attire worn should be appropriate to a professional status
- Demeanor: calm, thoughtful and disciplined
- Safety practices and accident prevention: flight instructor must set a good example by carefully observing all regulations and safety practice
- Proper language: avoid profanity. Assure understanding of new phrases and terms
- Self-improvement: flight instructors should constantly look for ways to improve their qualifications, effectiveness and the service they provide
- Minimizing student frustrations: develop techniques to encourage rather than discourage learning

B- BE CONSISTENT: don’t change your thoughts and confuse the student
A- ADMIT ERROS: be honest with student don’t try to hide anything
G- GIVE CREDIT WHEN DUE: break things down for student and give appropriate credit
M- MOTIVATE STUDENTS: give praise and or positive remarks
A- APPROACH AS INDIVIDUALS: don’t assume they know things just because another student did
C- CRITICIZE CONSTRUCTIVELY: give feed back and how to correct things. Be specific
K- KEEP STUDENT INFORMED: inform student of there progress. Let them know what’s ahead

V- VISUALIZE: help student visualize what’s being taught
R- RETAIN KNOWLEDGE: helps students to retain what was taught
A- ATTENTION: holds the students attention and keeps them interested
T- TIME EFFICIENT: effective use of time and can teach more in less time
