Q

WHAT IS A CORONARY HEART DISEASE

A

WHEN THE CORONARY ARTERIES THAT SUPPLY THE BLOOD TO THE MUSCLE OF THE HEART GET BLOCKED BY LAYERS OF FATTY MATERIAL BUILDING UP- THIS CAUSES ARTERIES TO BECOME NARROW SO BLOOD FLOW IS RESTRICTED AND THERES A LACK OF OXYGEN TO HEART MUSCLE WHICH CAN LEAD TO HEART ATTACK

Q

FACTORS THAT CAN LEAD TO CORONARY HEART DISEASE

A

1) HAVING A DIET HIGH IN SATURED FATS- CAN LEAD TO FATTY DEPOSITS FORMING INSIDE ARTERIES
2) SMOKING- INCREASES BLOOD PRESSURE WHICH CAN DAMAGE THE INSIDE OF CORONARY ARTERIES
3) CHEMICALS IN CIGARETTE ALSO CAUSE DAMAGE- MORE LIKELY TO FATTY DEPOSITS SINCE IT FORMS NAWORRING IN THE CORONARY ARTERIES
4) BEING INACTIVE- CAN LEAD TO HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE- DAMAGES THE LINING OF ARTERIES
