A
- Traditional cider is 100% fermented apple juice
- Cider has been made for thousands of years in Europe and is believed to be the first alcoholic drink brought byt he British to America in the 1600s

A
- Although cider is a category unto its own, production is similar to wine. Apples are crushed and pressed into juice which is then fermented into cider.
- Cider generally has an alcohol content between 5~8%
- Cider cna be fermented in large wooden vats or stainless steel tanks
