Believed to be the Saviour because he allowed himself to die so humans could be friends again with God
The Son is IMMANENT – knowable and present in our world
Importance for Christians? A comfort to know that their God has been through what they are going through.

Helps Christians to follow God
Gives Christians strength and support. Described as a
counsellor.

NICENE CREED – traditional teachings

A

Most of it focuses on the Son
The Trinity has been a central belief in Christianity for
centuries
THE BIBLE
At Jesus’ baptism the father was heard when he spoke
from the clouds, the spirit descended on Jesus like a
dove.
Jesus’ final words to his disciples telling them to “go
and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in
the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” (MATTHEW)
