What’s the dif between first and second generation of antipsychotic meds?

A

First generation control positive symptoms like: hallucination, delusion, bizarre behavior. Used on people who can tolerate adverse effects.
Second generation used on initial treatment and breakthrough treatment. There’s more effects with fewer adverse effects.
