Product
Right side.
Chemical produced in a chemical reaction.
Balanced equation
A balanced equation is one in which the total number of atoms of each element on the left side of the equation is equal to to the total number of atoms on the right side of the equation.
Chemical symbols
An element is represented by a chemical symbol. A symbol may be used to indicate one atom of an element.
When a symbol is followed by a number, this represents a molecule of that element, e.g. H2 is hydrogen and tells us there are two atoms of hydrogen in a molecule of hydrogen.
