Vr = 76 kts
Positive Rate of Climb + Speed < 152 kts: Gear UP
At 200 ft AAL: Flaps UP
At 400 ft AAL: Power 92%

Vy= 90 kts
After 1000ft, either continue at Vy to TOC or change to Cruise Climb (120 kts).

Alternate Air - As Required above 1000’
Fuel Pumps (2) - OFF
Landing/Taxi Lights - OFF
Altimeters - Set/Cross-Checked
Transponder Mode - Checked

Go-Around Checks / Procedure

A

Power 100%, One Hand Free, Drag Flap up to APP
Pitch Up (8°-10°)
Positive ROC + Speed < 152 kts: Gear UP
At 200 ft AGL: Speed Stable (>85 kts) and increasing -> Flaps UP
Pitch up for Vy (12°)
At 400 ft AGL: Power 92%

Engine Failure during / after TO (checks / procedures)

A

On runway:
- Before rotation, close power levers, gently apply brakes, call “STOP STOP STOP” and call the tower “AYRXXX” Stopping”, (…)

  • Airborne (<85 kts):
    Close both power levers and maintain control.
    Confirm 3 greens.
    Land and clear runway if applicable.
    Mayday + Intentions
  • Airborne (>85 kts, no useful runway remaining):
    Control and fly the aircraft.
    Full Power, Gear Up, Flaps UP
    Shallow Climb (4°-5°)
    VYSE (>85 kts)
    Confirm which engine has failed, Feather Engine or Fire Drill
    New Shallow Climb Attitude: 6°-8°
    Ts & Ps for Good Engine
    Check Performance
    Power 92%
    (Fire: Mayday / Failure: PanPan)

SPIRIT Checks

A

180° turn to regain IMC
If you didn’t regain VMC, SPIRIT checks:

Safety Altitude (climb above MSA, if already above consider descending to MSA to regain VMC).
Pitot Heat (ON)
Ice (If OAT below freezing, ice checklist in emergency section).
Radio (PanPan, inadvertently entered IMC, non-instrument rated, request vectors to airport with suitable WX).
IFR Altitude/Level (In accordance with magnetic track and ATC clearance).
Transponder (Squawk as requested by ATC).

Cruise Checks

A

Every 8 to 10 minutes:
Engine: Ts & Ps within limits.
System: Electrical inputs are reading good, no warnings.
Fuel: Balanced and enough to continue with the navigation.
If not balanced, the XFEED valve of the lower tank should be used.
CO Detector: Amber color.
NRST: Check nearest airport to be used in case of any issue.

A

A - Altitude: passing current altitude for target altitude
L - Lookout: Weave or lower nose to check area below nose
T - Check Ts & Ps in the green and no icing
