The period of the earliest and longest stage of human cultural development, lasting approximately from 2million BCE to 10,000 BCE; also known as old Stone Age

The process by which hominids used their intellectual and social skills to adjust to their surroundings and improve their chances for survival

Great Ice Age
A immense stretch of time (roughly 2 million BCE to 8,000 BCE) marked by frigid glacial stages when enormous ice masses called glaciers spread across much of the globe.

“Wise humans” a term designating the species that includes all modern people.
Neanderthals
A group of large-brained hominids whose remains were first discovered in 1856 in Germany’s Neander valley, who existed roughly 200,000-30,000 years ago

A concept that divides human beings into categories based on external characteristics such a skin color
