The father of Alexander the Great. He conquered Ancient Greece and changed Macedonia into a formidable political and military power and started the spread of Greek culture (western civilization) and spread the Macedonian empire

A classical Athenian dramatist whose plays humans were not governed by destiny and that they could choose their own paths
Socrates
An Athenian philosopher who taught that fulfillment meant attaining the good, the beautiful, and the true through the pursuit of excellence in learning; he believed that people could use education and logical thinking to solve their problems
Plato
An Athenian philosopher who was a student of Socrates who recorded his master’s reasoning and founded his own school of thought. He questioned the Gods and believed in free will. He also had the belief that people could solve problems with logical thinking and a good education
Aristotle
Plato’s most brilliant student who became one of the most influential thinkers of all time. He studied the universe, philosophy, science, poetry, and politics. He taught Alexander the Great and was put to death for his beliefs
