what is the equation for aerobic respiration?
A
glucose + oxygen —> carbon dioxide + water (energy)

in the mitochondria

allows muscles to contract in animals and to maintain a constant body temprature

where oxygen is low, so the equation changes to glucose —> lactic acid (+glucose)
