generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
a mood disorder that is characterized by depressed mood or loss of interest or pleasure most of the day, nearly every day, for at least 2 weeks; weight loss or weight gain; insomnia or hypersomnia; psychomotor retardation or agitation; fatigue, feelings of worthless or guilt; inability to think; and recurrent thoughts of death
major depressive disorder (MDD)
a type of anxiety disorder that is characterized by sudden feeling of loss of control or fear, including heart palpitations, sweating, difficulty breathing, chest pain, dizziness, or gastrointestinal distress
panic attacks
a type of sustance-use disorder that is characterized by repeated substance use that results in impairment in functioning or distress
substance abuse
a type of substance-use disorder that is characterized by cognitive, behavioral, and physiologic symptoms that are the result of continued substance use despite problems
