A trade trail. Began in Missouri and ended at Santa Fe.

Americans Settle Texas
Mexico encouraged American farmers to settle in Texas. Settlers began to arrive in early 1820’s.
The Alamo (1836)
Mexican Army led by Santa Anna attacked the Alamo.
Battle of San Jacinto
Texans defeat Santa Anna; Forces him to sign treaty of Velasco. Texan get independence of Mexico.
