The boy who led Heidi to the church comes tot he house, plays his organ, and collects some money. His tortoise frightens Rottenmeier. The rest of the kittens are delivered, causing another uproar.
How is Heidi comforted by Sebastian and Clara?
Clara suggests they wait until her father returns to see what will happen. She offers fresh rolls. Sebastian offers to play with her and the kittens later.
Miss Rottenmeier thinks Heidi has gone quite mad. What makes her think this?
Heidi becomes upset when she is not allowed to leave and tells Miss Rottenmeier all the things she is missing from home. Miss Rottenmeier doesn’t understand Heidi’s homesickness.
