Onto what object does Peter project all his anger and jealousy? What action indicates his built up rage?
The wheelchair receives all of Peter’s pent-up feelings. He pushes the wheelchair down the hill to Dorfli in rebellion against Clara.
What is one theory behind the destruction of the wheelchair?
One theory offered is that it was blown over by the wind.
What strange new experience is Clara enjoying when Heidi goes to the flower meadow?
Clara is feeding Snowflake, the goat, and is able to enjoy the beauty around her. She feels almost like a normal girl.
Why does Peter help Heidi with Clara so she can experience the flower meadow?
He is afraid Heidi knows he has destroyed the wheelchair and will tell her grandfather.
Why does Heidi believe you should pray to God even though He already knows everything you need and want?
Praying to God shows that we know He is in control and that we trust Him with all areas of our life. It is a recognition of God’s provision for us.

She had never expected to know such happiness, and it gave her a new idea of what it must mean to be like other girls, well and free, to run about and to help people, instead of always having to be the one that sat still and was waited on.
