- 2 bones
- transfer of weight
- provide attachment point and protection
each hip bone is anchored to the sacrum at the sacroiliac joint
7
Q
Describe the pectoral girdle
A
- two bones: clavicle and scapula
- clavicle is s-shaped on anterior
- scapula is the posterior aspect of the shoulder
- each clavicle is anchored to the axial skeleton by the sternoclavicular joint (between sternum and clavicle)*
