The toltecs migrated from northwestern Mexico, capital=Tula, had two rulers associated with g-ds. The Aztecs replaced them around 1000CE, their biggest city was tenochticlan. They used chinampas(floating gardens), and had a tribute system with areas they conquered. Their chief g-d, Huitzilopochtli, required a lot of human sacrifice

It was 600-900CE, the Olmec were followed by the Mayans, who built large cities and ceremonial centers, used slash and burn agriculture, didn’t trade that much, had clear social classes, and dissapeared around 800CE. At the same time, another civilization(capital was teotihuacan) grew. They had barrios(living quarters for their farmers), and were central to trade. They also collapsed around 750CE
