Australian dietary guidelines
The Australian Dietary Guidelines were developed by a federal government body to prevent diet related diseases and promote optimal health
GUIDELINE 1
To achieve and maintain a healthy weight, be physically active and choose amounts of nutritious food and drinks to meet your energy needs.
GUIDELINE 2
Enjoy a wide variety of nutritious foods from these five groups every day, veggies, fruit, grain, lean meat nd dairy + water
GUIDELINE 3
Limit intake of foods containing saturated fat, added salt, added sugars and alcohol.
GUIDELINE 4
Encourage, support and promote breastfeeding.
GUIDELINE 5

why is smoking targeted ?
- smoking kills an estimated 15000 Australians and costs Australia $31.5 billion in social (including health) and economic costs each year.
- preventable risk factor
- Significant link to 4/5 leading causes of death from smoking
effectiveness of quit
- seeing smoking rates decline from around 44 per cent for males and 33 percent for females in 1976 to 16.5 per cent for males and 11.1 per cent for females in 2017–18.

C- giving families a safe place where they can participate in sport and socialise.
S- VicHealth, Oxfam and the Aboriginal Advancement League strengthened community action by working together to resurrect the FSFC. Today, families and community members spend weekends and week nights engaged in supporting their team and undertaking volunteer activities to ensure that the club is sustained and grows.
D- providing education relating to issues such as nutrition and employment.
R- using health professionals to present weekly sessions relating to preventative healthcare such as quitting smoking and receiving regular health checks.

program embraces a ‘whole of community approach’ to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of Indigenous gay men and sistergirls through education, prevention, health promotion, and community development activities.

S- The 2 Spirits program also has services directed at the partners, families and friends of Indigenous people living with HIV, gay men, and sistergirls as well as the wider community.
