Moro Reflex
Startle reflex, open arms wide, spread fingers
Palmar Grasp Reflex
When object is placed in hand, hand grasps
Rooting Reflex
Touch cheek and turns head in direction of touch
Sucking Reflex
Mother strokes babys lips with nipple and infant will latch on
Toddlers and Preschool
-Lungs continue developing
-Musculature of lungs is not well developed
-Loss of passive immunity (reason for increase in sickness)
-Bladder control
-Seperation anxiety (10-18 months)
-Basic language skills developed
School- Aged Children
-Baby teeth replaced
-Self asteem development
-Self awareness
Adolescant
-Vital signs begin to level off with adult
-2-3 year growth spurt
-Struggle with sense of identity
-Menstration for females
