authoritative parenting
parenting characterized by high acceptance and high control, which produces the best results in children.
authoritarian
parenting characterized by low acceptance and high control, which can hinder the development of expressiveness and independence in children.

permissive parenting
type of parenting with high acceptance and low control.
induction
a form of discipline focused on using reason to encourage children to behave in certain ways to benefit themselves or others, for example, a child will be told to put away their toys so others will not trip over them.
