How can you improve your Non-verbal Communication skiils?

A
  1. Recognize that others’ nonverbal messages are not always the same as yours.
  2. Be aware of individual, contextual and cultural factors that influence meaning.
  3. Ask for additional information, if you do not understand a non-verbal message or if you perceive a contradiction between the verbal and non-verbal communication.
  4. Remember that not every non-verbal behavior is meant to be communicative.
  5. Do not place too much emphasis on fleeting non-verbal behaviors such as a facial expression or vocal tone; instead, examine the entire set of non-verbal behaviors.
