Yes (over 70% are moderately to much improved)
Why is psychotherapy effective?
It creates a relationship with the CL and therapist that is encumbered with warmth, acceptance, and empathy. Psychotherapy helps to build resilience, actualization, and rewires the brain
What is catharsis?
Releasing and thereby providing relief from repressed emotions
What is the catharsis myth?
Misconception that you venting your anger is an effective way to reduce stress and prevent lashing out at friends/family
