hygiene:aspects of the job that their presence is not motivating but their absence is demotivating
motivators:aspects of the job that cause true job motivation

1.salary-monthly +bonus, commission(%sale), profit share, share ownership, prp
2.wage-daily or weekly
time rate->more working hours, however might need supervisor
piece rate->higher output
what are non financial rewards
fringe benefits:
1.company car
2.discounts
3.health insurance
what is job satisfaction
enjoyment derived from job itself
ways to give job satisfaction
1.job rotation:swap around tasks to add variety and less boredom. requires flexible employees
2.job enlargement:same level of responsibility, but more tasks
3.job enrichment:higher level of responsibility, and more tasks
4.team work:creates sense of unity
5.training:enhance skills, customer feels invested in
