While under the control of the CO, canine will demonstrate the ability to defend CO during a physical attack by suspect

Canine must cease attack after CO gives verbal command

Call-off

Answer 4

CO will send canine after a running subject who will surrender. Canine will be called off, canine must stop in order to pass

Question 5

Apprehension test

Answer 5

Running subject. Canine must engage. Must cease when given verbal command

Question 6

Maintenance Training

Answer 6

Minimum of 8 hours a month

Shall include:

Odor Detection, Obedience, Master Protection/Apprehension

Annual Certification

Answer 7

Shall complete an annual certification with same criteria as initial certification
