he ordered houses to be pulled down, idea was to create firebreaks to stop the fire spreading to more houses or ordered houses to be blown up,but the man in charge of stopping the fire-Mayor of London was struggling with the king’s orders. People didn’t want to lose their homes so they only allowed their houses to be pulled down at the last moment
