Damage the body causing a range of complications.

By injections using a syringe, injection pen or insulin pump.
What causes type 1 Diabetes?
No one knows, but genes play a role.

Type 2.

About 90-95%.
Does a person with Diabetes 2 is able to produce insulin?
Yes but their body do not use it correctly.
What is the name when the patients body with Diabetes 2 do not use insulin correctly?
Insulin resistant.
Does people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus produce enough insulin to handle glucose in their body?
They might be unable to.

Yes, but lifestyle choices are important.

A healthy weight, staying active and eating well.
What are the treatment for Type 2 Diabetes?
Lifestyle changes and sometimes medications.
What means: Type 2 diabetes is a progressive condition?
The longer someone has it, the more help they will need.
What happens when a patient has Type 2 Diabetes for a long time?
Medications and eventually injected insulin could be needed.
