on the left - looked down on camp

right - mountains rising to sky

in middle shrine of Apollo clung to sides of mountain

Pythia led by priest dressed clean clothes bearing laurel in hand

into inner shrine

murmurs heard then ceased

Pythia exits inner shrine, eyes lowered, leaves temple

priest hands him oracle written on tablet

reads through it and thanks the gods
