PRECEDE

  • Officer a first engine should strive to enter block ahead of first ladder company (same in ladder ops)
  • After sufficient hose is removed, Engine can proceed to next hydrant–gives 3 sided approach

order of arrival, allows Engine to INITIATE BACK STRETCH

VERY IMPORTANT….WHENEVER POSSIBLE, FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:

A

A. ONLY 2 handlines should be operated from a pumper

B. the SUPPLY PUMPER in a RELAY OPERATION should NOT supply ANY HANDLINES OR LCS

C. The pumper supplying LCS , should NOT SUPPLY any handlines or ADDITIONAL LCS

* if an EMERGENCY EXISTS exceeding the above guidelines, the SUPPLY OR OPERATING pUMPER , SHOULD BE AUGMENTED ASAP and IC NOTIFIED (in the 3 cases above, it does not matter if intake is below 15psi or not……above reasons are immediate augmentation)*
