9
Q

What time delay is related to the left hand centre tank boost pump?

A

There is a 15 second time relay.
After 15 seconds of LOW PX, the relay is deenergised and shuts off the pump.

Q

When does the refuel shutoff valve go to the open position?

A

The valve opens when it is put under pressure by incoming fuel or when the switch is put to the open position.

Q

How does the centre tanks fuel scavenge system work?

A

It creates suction through motive flow from the FWD L/H booster pump.

The water and fuel that comes out
of the water scavenge ejector pump goes to the L/H and R/H centre tank and main tank aft boost pump inlets.

13
Q

Will the engine be starved of fuel if you turn off all the main tank fuel pumps?

A

No, the bypass valve will open and both engines will be supplied fuel by their respective main tanks through suction or gravity.

This is only applicable to both main tanks.

14
Q

What will cause the pressure relief valve to open?

A

Where there is too much positive or negative pressure in the fuel tanks, the pressure relief valve will open.
It must be manually closed before the next flight.

16
Q

Where does the power for the refuelling panel come from?

A

The internal BPCU transformer rectifier,
DC Bus 1,
Battery Bus,

The battery must be turned on, or the Ground Service Bus energised.

17
Q

POST SB 737-28A1206, how long does it take to receive a FUEL master caution light after you receive a low pressure light from one of the fuel pumps?

A

10 seconds.

17
Q

Why are centre tank pumps rated differently do main wing tank pumps?

A

Centre tank pumps have a higher minimum pressure rating to ensure the centre tank drains first.

18
Q

What are the three positions on the switch located in the P15?

A

Test Gauges
OFF
Fuel Door Bypass Switch

19
Q

Where is the fuel quantity processor unit?

A

In the FWD E/E

20
Q

What could you consider as the auxiliary fuel feed?

A

Gravity

21
Q

Where is the crossfeed valve located?

A

On the FWD R/H side of the main wheel well.

22
Q

What switches change the position of the Spar valve?

A

The engine start lever,
The fire switch.

23
Q

Where does the FQPU/FQIS provide quantity data to?

A

FMCS,
DEU’s,
Refuelling panel.

24
Q

What is the purpose of the float switches in the fuel tanks?

A

The fuelling float switches remove power to the fuelling valves when the fuel level in the tank is full.
