federal spending and investments on dams, power station, highways and other projects that improved the economy. Due to improved highways it gave a rapid growth of oil fields Also the climate attracted more migrants from the east to LA.

It made possible the miniaturization of many devices such as radio, tv, audio equipment, hearing aids, and were also important in aviation, weaponry and satellites.

The middle class grew substantially, Economic growth & prosperity, better jobs, houses, race(similar age and background)

How did the highways impact American?
It made traveling faster. Being able to get into major city. Highways also encouraged the movement of economic activities manufacturing in particular out of cities and into suburban and rural areas where land was cheap. This enabled families to live in bigger homes with bigger lots, and mad it easier for families to move into homes. It transformed the landscape of retailing.

TV had replaced newspaper, magazines, and radios. Television replaced the radio as the dominant form of home entertainment

The teaching of science, mathematics, and foreign languages

They were a group of young poets, writers, and artists who wrote harsh critiques of what they thought of the american life. The hearts were a widespread rebellion young americans.
