Milton Mayeroff:
- to care for another person is to help him grow and actuality himself.
Knowing: means understanding the others needs and how to respond.
Alternative rhythms: signifies moving back and forth between immediate and long term means of behavior
Patience: allows others to grow in own time.
Honesty: awareness and openness to ones own feelings in caring for the other.
Trust: letting go to allow the other to grow in own way
Humility: acknowledging that there is always more to learn.
Hope: belief in the possibility of the others growth.
Courage: sense of going into the unknown.
