Question 1

What should you do if you approach from behind a school bus with its upper alternating red lights flashing? and what if you approach the bus from the front?

Answer 1

• if you are coming front behind the bus, stop at least 20 m
• when approaching from the front, stop at a safe distance for children to get off the bus and cross the road in front of you.

Question 2

What penalties do you get if you don’t stop for a stopped school bus that has its red lights flashing?

Answer 2

• you can be fined and get 6 demerit points for 1st offence. for additional offences, fine increase and you could go to jail for up to 6 months.
