Thick description
Record of intertwined layers of common meaning that underlie what a specific people say and do
Metaphor
Clarifies something that’s unknown by using something familiar
Corporate stories
Stories that show management ideology and exemplify company policy
Personal stories
Tales told by employees to put in good light(good standing)-fit in
Collegial stories
Positive or negative stories told by others in the organization; how things “really work”
Ritual
Texts that articulate multiple aspects of cultural life, often make rites of passage or life transitions
