Anxiety
A vague, generalized apprehension or feeling that one is in danger.
Phobic disorder
Intense and irrational fear of a particular object or situation
Specific phobia
Fear Focused on almost anything
Agoraphobia
Extreme fear of being in a public place
Social phobia
Fear that you will embarrass yourself in public
Panic disorder
An anxiety disorder that manifests itself in the form of panic attacks
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Experiencing anxiety from thinking the Sami thing over and over again and repeatedly performing irrational actions
Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Disorder in which victims of traumatic events experience the original event in the form of dreams or flashbacks
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
An anxiety disorder in which a person is continuously tense, apprehensive, and cannot identify the source of the tension.
Somatoform disorder
Physical symptoms for which there is no apparent physical cause
Conversion disorder
Changing emotional difficulties into a loss of a specific voluntary body function
Hypochondriasis
A person who is in good health become preoccupied with imaginary ailments. Spends a lot of time looking for signs of serious illness.
Dissociative disorder
A disorder in which a person experiences alterations in memory, identity, or consciousness
Dissociative amnesia
The inability to recall important personal events or information, is usually associated with stressful events
Dissociative identity disorder
A person exhibits two or more personality states, each with its own patterns of thinking and behaving
Schizophrenia
A group of disorders characterized by confused and disconnected thoughts, emotions, and perceptions
Delusions
A false belief that a person maintains it he face of contrary evidence
Hallucinations
Perceptions that have no direct external cause
Major depressive disorder
Severe form of depression that interferes with functioning, concentration, and mental and psychical well being
Bipolar disorder
Disorder in which an individual alternates between feelings of mania and depression
Seasonal affective disorder
Developing a deep depression in the middle of winter
Personality disorders
Maladaptive or inflexible ways of dealing with toners and ones environment
Antisocial personality
A personality disorder characterized by irresponsibility, shallow emotions, and lack of conscience
