The 1798 Rebellion to Daniel O’Connel
The population massively grew. Some parts of Ireland were industrialised, particulary Belfast and Dublin.
There were many problems with the cities of Dublin and Belfast
70% of Ireland lived in the countryside, there had been improvemnts in farming methods

Daniel O’ Connel
He was born in 1775
He supported the aims of the United Irishmen, but did not like the use of violence
O’Connel won the seat for Westminister, King George IV refereed to him as ‘the king of Ireland’
He fought for many problems and his supporters grew.
He died in 1847
His legacy influence many people
He failed the repeal of the Union in the 1840s
People began to think the only way to suceed was violence
