Abnormal behaviour
as behaviour that is personally distressing, personally dysfunctional and or so culturally deviant that other poeple judge it to be inappropriate or maladaptive
Anxiety
a natural response to a perceived threat 4 components to anxiety: 1- Cognitive component 2- Physiological stress 3- Behavioural responses
Phobic disorders
are strong and irrational fears of certain objects or situations
- Agoraphobia

- Specific phobia
Things that cause PTSD:
1- Intrusion symptoms

Somatic system and related disorders
involve physical complaints or disabilities that suggest a medical problem but that do not always have a known biological cause and are not produced voluntary by the person
what is major depression
an intense state of sadness and/or lack of ability to feel positive emotion (dysphoria) and/leaves them unable to function effectively in their lives

Schizophrenia
includes severe disturbances in thinking, speech, perception, emotion and behaviour

1- Paranoid schizophrenia
2- Disorganised schizophrenia
3- Catatonic schizophrenia
4- Undifferentiated schizophrenia
Factors affecting schizophrenia;

false perceptions that have compelling sense of reality
