Divine and human law
A law that affects the general public ( criminal laws- euthanasia, abortion, theft, robbery)
Public law
A law that affects the relationship of an individual to another individual

Universal principles of biomedical ethics
Autonomy
Veracity
Beneficence
Non-maleficence
Justice
Principle that prevents harm or improve situations. Ex. a children can be inoculated against dse despite refusal and of their parents
Legal moralism principle
To benefit a person. Ex. A 22 years old person could have a gangrenous leg amputated even against a refusal of tx.
Paternalism principle- strong
Stopping a person from self-harm. Ex, a person attempted suicide by ingesting poison could have a stomach cleared of the poison even though refusing tx
Paternalism principle- weak
If a person has highly contagious and life- threatening dse that person could be confined against that person’s will.
Harm principle
A person with rare anti-body to a deadly incurable dse threatening the general population could be made to give a specimen of their blood or bone marrow or other tissue for the sake of the benefit of the entire society
Welfare (social benefit) principle
Remaining truthful with the patients regardless of any circumsatbces
Veracity
The act of kindness and mercy that directly benefits the patient
Beneficence
