Q

Explain in detail how sound is made

A

The tone for movement of an object is transferred to the particles in the air around it the Air particles next to the vibrating object Push on the air particles next to them and they push on air particles further away, and so on. Once a particle has pushed, swings back to receive another pushing the vibrating object and other particles around it. The swinging of the particles produces regions of high and low pressure move away from the object and create a sound wave

A

Loud

18
Q

And object makes a certain number of… In a second

A

Vibrations

19
Q

What is frequency and what is it measured in?

A

The number of waves produced per second, this is measured in hertz with the unit symbol Hz

20
Q

Low pitch sound has low frequency waves with longer wavelengths then a high pitch sound, which has higher…

A

Frequency waves with shorter wavelengths
