What are some types of physiological measurements?

A

Vital signs
Heart rate- 60-100 normal. Bradycardia less than 60, tachycardia more than a 100
Pulse race
BP-120/80 normal. Hypotension less than 90/60, hypertension more
Oxygen saturation SPO2-95-100%. Hypoxia less than 90%
Respiratory rate- 9-14bpm, Brady ones less than 9, tachyons a more than 20
Temperature- 36.5-37.5. No fever: afebrile, fever: Pyrexia, febrile

What is jaundice?

A

Yellow skin caused by the buildup of Billirubin in the blood. Occur if the liver can’t efficiently processes red blood cells as they break down

What is for peripheral cyanosis?

A

In the extremities, most commonly fingers on toes. Generally an indicator of poor circulation or hypoxaemia
