adaptations
Characteristics that enable organisms to better survive in the biome they live in
Structural adaptations
A physical feathure of an organisms body having a specific function that contributes to the organisms survival. ( wolves fur changing color)
Physiological adaptation
A physical or chemical even that occurs with in the body of an organism. (wolves body temp stays the same no matter what)
Behavioral adaptation
What an organism does to survive in its biome. (a burrowing owl hisses like a rattle snake to scare off its predetors
Permanet ice (Polar Ice)
- Large polar ice caps of the arctic green land and antarctica. Temp- high around -3 in Dec, Jan low–25 in Aug Sept. Precip- around 20-40 each month-
Desert (Hot and Cold)
Every continet around latitudes about 30 degrees north and south- Precipitation average 10, less then 25, Hotter in July/ Aug at 35 Dec Jan 15
