how does TcP02 work
heats skin to 45 degrees Celsius
blood flow increases
lipid layer in fatty tissue melts
more 02 escapes through skin, measured by sensor in electrode
reference reading (upper lat chest) obtained 1st followed by specific sites
as 02 escapes from skin, what happens
a chemical reaction occurs in electrolyte solution thats located between skin and electrode surface
the electrode does what
converts chemical reaction to a current reading which is converted to a p02 reading in mmHg
how long does this test take
about 15-20 minutes after manual calibration of machine
healing is likely to occur with a reading of what
p02 reading of 70-80mmHg
borderline healing
