Career Occupational Preference System
COPS= scores related to career cluster model used to guide individual to number of career areas
-measures interests (COPS)
abilities (CAPS): measures abilities across 8 dimensions related to carer cluster
and values (COPES): assesses values important in occupational selection and job satisfaction (scale based on 8 poles)
ONET
free online database that has 6 domains: worker requirements, worker characteristics, occupational requirements, workforce characteristics, occupation specific information

Differential aptitude test
for grades 7-12; measures students ability to learn and be successful in certain areas related to skill
8 separate tests: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, abstract reasoning, perceptual speed and accuracy, mechanical reasoning, space relations, spelling, language usage
special aptitude testing
measures a homogenous area of ability
used to predict success in a specific vocation
helps individuals decide if they may do well in a specific vocation or help employers make decisions about hiring/admitting
