What is the anatomical position
Standing upright, feet flat on floor, palms forward
Lateral direction

Sagittal: passes vertically through the body dividing it into a left and right half (if directly in the middle it is a midsaggital plane)
Frontal: passes vertically but is perpendicular to sagittal (divides anterior from posterior)
Transverse: divides top from bottom inferior from superior)

supination position is when the palm is facing front, pronation is when the palm is facing back
