What does the cell membrane do
Forms a protective barrier and lets nutrience in and out of the cell
What does the Cytoplasm do
Surrounds and lets the organells move around the cell.
What does the Nucleus do
Controlls all life processes in the cell and contains DNA
What is DNA
The cells coded information
What do the vacoules do
Stores nutrience, waste and water
What do the vesicles do
Transports substances through the cell
What does the Mitochondria do
Creates energy for the cell from chemicals to sugar.
What does the smooth ER do
Made of materials that move materials through the cell
ER means endoplasmic reticulum
What does the Rough ER do
Moves materials through the cell AND has ribosomes
What do Ribosomes do
Makes protein for the cell
What does the Golgi apparatus do
Packages proteins to be moved in or out of the cell
What does the cytokskelton do
Holds the cells shape together
What are the two plant only organelles

- The chloroplast
What does the cell wall do
A rigid frame around the cell that provides support
