The research areas and professional specialties include school psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, and counseling psychology. Applied psychology is the study and ability to solve problems with human behavior.
What are the main themes in this course? Would you be able to recognize these from examples?
The main themes are psychology is empirical, psychology is theoretically diverse, psychology evolves in sociohistorical context, behavior is determined by multiple causes, people’s behavior is shaped by their cultural heritage, hereditary and environment jointly influence behavior, and our experience of the world is highly subjective.
