Widely shared belief about the attributes of females and males
Hostile sexism
Negative stereotypes about women that serve to restrict women’s roles
Benevolent sexism
Positive characteristics of women that serve to restrict women’s roles and these are sometimes hidden and hard to see
Modern sexism
Belief that gene discrimination is no longer a problem in society and is manifested by the harmful treatment of women in ways that appear socially acceptable
Masculine generic language
Language that uses male terms but purports to be inclusive of females and males ex: chairman, freshman, businessman
Double standard of aging
The stigma of aging is much greater than it is for men - the same grey hair and wrinkles that enhance the perceived status and attractiveness of an oldie man dismiss the attractiveness and desirability of an older woman

Male ass normative because their voices are used more and spot lighting when woman does something it is highlighted because it is being done for the first time
