Subject to geographical boundaries as well as limitations on grape varieties and production methods

Same as DOC + meet stricter regs and in most cases must be bottled in the area of production.
What are the possible Italian terms for PGI?
Indicazione Geografica Protetta (IGP), but the traditional term Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) is commonly used.
What does Classico mean on an Italian wine label?
It acknowledges wines that have been made solely from the original classified land and includes many of the best wines from the area
What does Riserva indicate on an Italian wine label?
It acknowledges wines with both higher alcohol levels and longer ageing than the minimum stipulated by the appellation laws
