- Many people can access the internet using smartphones and tablets
- Large amounts of data can be stored and accessed very quickly due to computers

What is a science park
A group of scientific and technical knowledge-bases businesses located on a single site
- most are associated with universities enabling them to use research facilities and employ skilled graduates
What is a business park
An area of land occupied by a cluster of businesses
Why are business parks often located on the edge of towns
- Land tends to be cheaper
- with more available land it is possible to extend business
- access is often better for workers
- businesses can benefit by working together
