1a) Housing
Many houses in Glasgow were run down + in need of repair, so the government invested money to renovate the tenements by replacing old windows with double glazing + new bathrooms
TMT the housing is no longer damp + people’s overall health is improved
1b) Housing
Liverpool has introduced new ways to improve areas like the Websters Triangle as there was issues with gangs + poor housing
TMT Liverpool City Council allowed people to buy a house for £1 in these areas. However they would have to renovate it themselves within a year.
TMT people would buy into the area + have a desire to see it improve
2a) Transport
A major issue in the inner city was caused by grid iron streets + increased car ownership.
TMT congestion problems were caused, so new transport links like the Partick Interchange were built

Electric buses were increased in the area + it was ensured that there was more at peak times
TMT congestion + air pollution were reduced

Tourism has been encouraged
TMT many new hotels are appearing in the gap sites left by the demolished factories - eg Hilton

Other improvements were made to the environment by landscaping + improving docklands
TMT more people will visit the area + spend money allowing further regeneration
4) Community
Glasgow harbour also has cafes, restaurants, a post office + a pedestrianised walkway into the CBD - to ensure people felt part of the community + there would be things to do
TMT the issue of gangs becomes less of an problem + people feel safe in the inner city
