Q

Titration method

A
  1. Using a pipette, take 23cm^3 of alkali
  2. transfer solution to conical flask
  3. Add a few drop of methyl orange indicator which will at first appear yellow
  4. Place acid in a burette and note the initial reading
  5. Add the acid carefully from burette until the indicator turns orange(neutral point)
  6. Note the final reading of the burette and subtract it from initial reading to get titre
  7. Repeat titration until concordant results are obtained then calculate a mean average
