Q

Describe some instances which show the forbearance of Muhammad Peace be Upon him.

A

Sayyiduna Zayd ibn Sana was a Jewish scholar before accepting Islam. He tested the messenger for 2 characteristics which were that his forbearance overcame his anger and that extreme ignorance only increased his forbearance. Zayd went to the messenger before his date of delivery and acted angry towards the messenger by grabbing him and shouting at him. Muhammad only smiled and gave him his dates early as well as a little extra. Thereafter ibn Sana embraced Islam.

When Zaynab ibn Harith, a Jewish resident of Khaybar tried to poison him, he did not take retribution.

A kafir who intended to assassinate him was captured and bought before him. Muhammad let him leave unharmed.
